Pförring

The origins of Pförring go back to Roman times. Remains of the fort can be seen to the north of the market town. The parish church of St. Leonhard has a Gothic stone madonna and on the eastern facade there are several grimacing faces.

Parish Church of St. Leonhard with a Gothic stone madonna. Small museum of local history on the upper floor of the town's tower. The focus is on a smallholder family of parents and 9 children (with original Käthe-Kruse figures of children) and depicts the smallholder's everyday life in the kitchen and the living room, his crafts, agricultural work and religious customs. Monthly, temporary exhibitions of handicrafts, paintings, etc. on the ground floor. Military history museum of the Pförring warriors' and soldiers' association, craftsmen's and farm museum of the Pförring Craftsmen and Workers' Association, moated castle from the Niebelungen saga in the town district of Ettling.
