Monastery church Roggenburg
Rococo in Swabia
The magnificent Roggenburg monastery can be seen from a distance. The monastery church Mariä Himmelfahrt was built from 1752 until 1758 by Simpert Kraemer and is one of the most important Rococo buildings in Swabia. In the monastery museum, you can experience the history of the monastery until it was violently closed down in 1802. Since 1982, the young convent with 13 canons maintains the tradition.
