Ice Age caves

UNESCO world heritage

The caves in the Ach valley near Blaubeuren and in the Lone valley ner Langenau are spectacular locations, where archeologists found artworks from the Ice Age. People lived here around 40.000 years ago and created the worlds oldest human artworks. The caves and the archeological locations are a fascinating natural phenomenon and can be visited.

Six caves and the surrounding landscape was awarded as UNESCO world heritage site in 2017.
