St. Stephan cathedral

The worlds largest cathedral organ

The magnificent building with its white towers and the blue/green dome is one of the most important baroque churches north of the alps. The architects Carlo Lurago and Giovanni Battista gave it an Italian style, after a city fire in 1662. The splendid interior contains a special treasure: The worlds largest cathedral organ.

Organ concerts take place weekdays between May 2nd and October 31st at 12 o'clock. Thursdays also at 19.30 o'clock.
