Blaubeuren

THE BLAUTOPF CITY

Hardly any city is as deeply connected to the history of the earth as Blaubeuren. Fascinating is the “Blautopf”, a legendary karst spring and a lagoon-like nature phenomenon, embedded in forested mountain ranges and jagged rocks. Under the deep blue, turquoise shimmering water surface the myth of the “Schöne Lau” lives on. Next door you will find the late Gothic monastery. The high altar, choir stalls, cloister and the monks bathing house invite you to stay.

Inner-city, surrounded by picturesque timbered houses the prehistory museum of Blaubeuren is located. Listen to the world’s oldest musical instruments and admire the “Venus vom Hohle Fels”. With its architectural, cultural, archaeological, scenic and geological treasures, Blaubeuren is one of the most popular destinations of the Swabian Alb.
